What the site is

Marsadata shows official statistics about places: rents, home values, pay, businesses, energy prices, population and languages. It is free to use and needs no account.

The figures and who owns them

The figures are published by public bodies, which are named next to each figure and listed on the sources page with their licences. Marsadata republishes them and, where it says so, calculates a few simple figures from them. Marsadata is not endorsed or certified by any of these publishers.

You may reuse a figure under the licence of the source it comes from. Keep the credit line and any notice printed with it. Do not present a figure calculated by Marsadata as a figure published by the source.

The site’s own text, design and software remain the property of Marsadata. You may quote short passages with a link to the page; copying the site or a substantial part of it needs permission.

The background map is provided by OpenFreeMap, with data from OpenStreetMap contributors. Their own terms apply to it.

No guarantee, and not advice

The figures are estimates and counts made by their publishers. They can contain errors, they are revised, and they describe a past period that is printed with each figure. Marsadata takes care in loading them but does not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or current, or that the site will always be available.

Nothing on the site is financial, property, legal, tax or career advice. A median or an average for an area says nothing certain about a particular home, job or household. Check the original source and take professional advice before making a decision that matters.

To the extent the law allows, Marsadata is not liable for any loss that results from using the site or from relying on what it shows.

Fair use of the site

• Do not try to disrupt the site, overload it or get around its request limits.
• Do not collect its pages or data in bulk with automated tools. The original files are free to download from the publishers, who are linked on the sources page.
• Do not try to reach the parts of the site reserved for its administrator.
• Do not use the site to try to identify a person, a household or a business.

Access may be limited or blocked for anyone who does not respect these points.

Links

The site links to the publishers’ pages and to licence texts. Marsadata is not responsible for what those sites contain.

Changes

These terms may change as the site grows, for example when a country is added. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version; continuing to use the site means accepting it.
